With
a keen interest in drawing & painting as a child,
Gillian has been involved in the creative arts since
leaving school to study Fine Arts at the National Art
School, Sydney.
She continued on to become an accredited Interior
Designer & member of the Interior Design Society of
Australia with her own professional studio, beginning a
life long love affair with the use of colour and design.
Since
moving to the Dayboro area, north of Brisbane, she has
attended several tutored art groups & holds various
certificates, diplomas & awards, with artworks
exhibited & sold locally & interstate.

has also enjoyed being involved with teaching
children art & assisting with their enjoyment
of visiting art galleries.
Through
the use of colour & subject matter her aim is to
produce uplifting works bringing joy to the viewer with
an emphasis on nature’s beauty, which is influenced by
the natural bush surrounds of her studio at Lacey’s
Creek.
Her
medium of choice is oil painting on canvas, but also
enjoys many other mediums including pastel, textile
& silk screen printing, collage, paper mache, clay
& photography.
