Joan
was born in England and migrated to Australia in 1970.
She has lived in Dayboro for the past 15 years, where
she is an active member in the art gallery and has been
a member in the gallery for the past 10 years.
She studied art
with with Pir Tareen for 8 years and has participated in
Dale Marsh's art group for 4 years. Her paintings mainly
depict traditional landscapes and still life, although
more recently her body of abstract works have been very
successful.
While Joan's first
love is oil painting, she also enjoys working with clay,
sharing her clay building skills and knowledge with
others. She conducts a clay workshop on the 2nd Friday
of each month. All are welcome. |
