In
past years Lorraine has participated in numerous
workshops and has completed studies in Fine Art and
Design, printmaking, bookbinding and figure drawing.
Over
the years Lorraine studied with the Brisbane Institute
of Art and attended various specialised workshops,
Lorraine enjoys working and experimenting with a variety
of media and subject matters.
She
thrives on the experimental challenge and endeavours to
express her own style while combining mixed media,
collage and mono printing.
Her
passion to work with different textural effects provides
her with infinite possibilities to create her artwork.
Her
artworks are represented in numerous private collections
throughout Australia and overseas, including the
Brisbane Parliamentary Annexe. She has won several
awards for her works in oils, watercolours, acrylics and
mixed media.
Life
drawing, portrait drawing and
seascapes give a balance to her abstract expressionism.
My
current body of work for this exhibition consists of
spontaneous line work, discovering shape, creating image
and form with minimal colour. |
